Manufacturers have announced that their prices on water heaters will be going up 10%-15%. In order to avoid the impact of these increases, Total Comfort Pluming has purchased additional electric water heaters at today’s prices and for a limited time will be offering 40 gallon tank style electric water heaters for $925 installed and 50 gallon tank style electric water heaters for $950. We offer either Rheem or Bradford White water heaters at this price.

In addition we have three GE 80 gallon heat pump water heaters that we are offering for the installed price of just $2,395.00 each. These units are “As-Is” but include a 10 year manufacturer’s warranty on all parts.

Prices are for normal installation in an unobstructed garage area and includes a pressure tank, ball valve, plastic drain pan, and removal of old water heater. Permits are extra.

Advisory – Heating Problems May be Caused by Utility Company Devices

FPL and many power companies have a program to save you money on your electric bill. In the case of FPL, the program is called “On-Call”. The program is designed to help FPL meet high demand for electricity during periods of peak usage that may occur during extreme weather. In exchange for a credit on your electric bill the utility company installs devices on equipment in your home or business that will allow the utility company to  turn that equipment off for varying periods of time during high demand periods. If one of these devices is installed on your heating and air conditioning system it can interrupt the heating or cooling of your home and may cause intermittent problems in the functioning of your thermostat. Normally, after the equipment is turned back on by the installed device, everything returns to proper functionality.

The program, as described above, and the temporary outages it causes are not the responsibility of Total Comfort to remedy at no charge. Total Comfort or other similar organizations are not allowed to modify the functioning of these devices without the permission of the utility company. Any service calls performed by Total Comfort under these circumstances will incur a service call fee.

If you are enrolled in FPL’s program or a similar program we suggest you check the terms of your agreement and determine if it’s the right solution for you.

The FPL webpage that describes the program and some of the terms is located at https://www.fpl.com/save/programs/on-call.html

May is Zombie Awareness Month

As you know, May is Zombie Awareness Month and this is an ideal time to start thinking about preventive measures that may help avoid some of the possible dangers that zombies can pose.

Installing a standby generator for your home or business can prevent disruptions caused by zombie attacks on the power grid. Total Comfort can provide complete installation of standby generators along with installation of a propane gas system to fuel them.

Some research suggests that ultra-violet light can be used as an effective weapon against zombies. Total Comfort offers installation of UV lights that can be incorporated into your duct work and offers a layer of protection.

If you’ve purchased other zombie deterrents that may require installation, Total Comfort provides complete air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, and propane service that could be of assistance.
