Propane Price Increase

We are being forced to raise our propane prices across the board because of severe price increases and supply issues. Effective today, the price of a 20# Cylinder Refill is now $20.00 per cylinder.

According to an article in the Wall Street Journal “frigid temperatures in many parts of the country are contributing to soaring demand for propane, kicking off a surge in prices and a scramble to get the liquid gas used in agriculture and home heating to parts of the Midwest and South.”

Wholesale prices in our area have doubled in the last month and have almost tripled since January 2013. During the last week wholesale prices have increased over $1.25 per gallon.

Suppliers are hoping that prices will start leveling off soon. In addition, issues such as maintenance on a major pipeline during November and December, have affected the supply in our area.

We are hoping the supply and prices will stabilize soon.
